America's First Small One-Cent Coins

More than 150 years old!

In 1857, the United States Mint issued the first small one-cent coin – the fabulous Flying Eagle penny. One of the shortest-lived coin designs in history, it replaced an unpopular one-cent coin that was too large for everyday use. The Flying Eagle penny was issued for only two years – making it very hard to find today. This is your chance to own America’s First Small One-Cent Coins, an exclusive Folio featuring one coin from each year it was issued for circulation.

The front features the U.S. Mint’s pet eagle, Old Pete. It is one of the few U.S. coins to depict an eagle in flight. The back features a wreath and the words “one cent.” In 1859, this revolutionary coin was replaced with the Indian Head penny and disappeared from circulation. Due to its short mintage period, as well as the small number of coins that were struck, very few people are even aware that the Flying Eagle penny exists. Even fewer have actually seen one.

Both coins are in circulated condition, protectively encapsulated so that both the front and back of each coin are visible. Your collection will be presented in a custom-crafted deluxe hardcover Folio. It is the perfect way to house and display your one-cent coins for many years of enjoyment. An expertly written Collector’s Information Card with historical details about the Flying Eagle penny is also included.

The collection is available in extremely small quantities, so it is offered on a strict first-come, first-served basis. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return your Folio within 30 days for a replacement or refund. Don’t miss out – order today, before it’s too late!
