A History of U.S. Coinage

A retrospective of designs from the 19th century to today...

Since the 1800’s, there has been a stunning array of coin designs from the humble penny to the glorious dollar. Yet all but a fraction of such cherished coins as “Wheat Ear” Pennies or Buffalo Nickels were worn out in circulation or destroyed long ago, the few survivors jealously guarded in private hands. Available exclusively from PCS Stamps & Coins, this unprecedented collection brings together every major design variation across all six modern denominations, dating to the mid-19th century.

Included are:
• All SEVEN penny designs, including the Braided Hair Cent.
• All SEVEN five-cent designs, including the Shield Nickel.
• All FIVE dime designs, including the Seated Liberty Silver Dime.
• All EIGHT major quarter designs, including four struck in 90% silver.
• EIGHT half-dollars, with six struck with silver, including Seated Liberty.
• EIGHT dollar coins, including Morgan and Peace coins struck in 90% silver.
Plus a Display Chest and Collector’s Guide, yours at no extra charge.

First 13 shipments are payable in 2 monthly installments of $39
Featuring 43 numismatic treasures, A History of U.S. Coinage forms a collectible of beauty, meaning and importance. Due to their age and scarcity, coins minted from the 1800’s through 1964 will be presented in gently circulated condition with all major design details visible. Coins minted from 1965 to present will be featured in uncirculated condition. Each coin is housed in a crystal-clear capsule to protect it from dust, fingerprints and wear, ensuring that you can safely examine both sides for generations to come. The deluxe wooden Display Chest (measuring 11" x 10¼" x 4¾") and Collector’s Guide—which provides captivating information about the coins in your collection, framed through the lens of American history—will be sent with your third shipment.

This collection allows you the convenience of building it item-by-item with a gradual payment plan. Coins will be shipped directly to your home at the rate of one shipment every other month (14 total shipments in this collection). The first 13 shipments will each include three coins, while the final shipment will contain four coins. Each shipment will include at least one 90% silver coin. You can pay for each shipment in two monthly installments.

Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. You may return any shipment within 30 days for replacement, or for a full refund with no further obligation. You may cancel at any time by calling the toll-free number included with each shipment. Either party may cancel this agreement at any time.

• These uncirculated coins are inspected (but not professionally graded) to ensure they have no trace of wear. They may show contact marks and their surface may lack some luster, though we strive to offer coins with good eye appeal based on feedback from our customers.

Note: For coin series with multiple design variations, one representative design will be included in the collection.
U.S. $1 gold coins are not included.
The coin years you receive may vary from those shown.
