The Jefferson Coin and Stamp Collection

275th Anniversary Special Commemorative Edition.

The original Jefferson Nickel became one of the longest-running designs in U.S. history. First minted in 1938 in anticipation of the bicentennial of Thomas Jefferson’s birth, it was the first U.S. coin to feature the “P” mint mark for Philadelphia and the first-ever circulating coin with the image of a U.S. President facing forward, making it highly coveted and very difficult to find. Now, you can acquire a complete and unbroken sequence, from the inaugural issue through its 80th year.

This collection of 84 historic Jefferson coins:
  • Showcases the first-ever silver Jefferson nickel, all four silver wartime issues and all four limited-edition Westward Journey designs, minted for one year only.
  • Includes mint-condition U.S. postage stamps, each honoring Jefferson or a closely related event, all no longer available from any post office and up to 70 years old!
  • Is enhanced by Biography Cards that accompany each shipment and recount key events in Jefferson’s life, putting his landmark Presidency in historical context.
  • Is presented in uncirculated condition, with coins minted before 1960 in gently circulated condition, all protectively encapsulated for safety (as are the stamps).
