• This 2008-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Dollar was accidentally struck with the reverse die from 2007.

• Only about 8% of the 2008 Burnished American Eagle Silver Dollars were minted with the incorrect 2007 dies, the most notable feature of which is the “U” that has a simple shape with no serif. Regular coins from 2008 and beyond feature a serif on the U.
