When the U.S. Mint introduced the American Eagle Silver Dollar in 1986, it also produced a rarely seen PROOF edition exclusively at the San Francisco Mint. The Silver Eagle is the largest, heaviest and original purest silver dollar in U.S. history, each made with one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver. San Francisco was the only U.S. Mint that made them with a proof finish until 1992…and only in extremely limited quantities.

The original proof coins from San Francisco were made more than 30 years ago in limited editions, and they're quite difficult to find today! Available exclusively from PCS Stamps & Coins, this collection includes each year’s stunning proof coin, certified by NGC as near-perfect PF69 Ultra Cameo condition — one of the highest grades possible for any U.S. coin.

Included are:
• The complete, unbroken collection of original 1986-1992 proof Silver Eagles — the first seven years of issue that regular proofs were struck in San Francisco.
• The rarest “S” Mint Silver Eagle, struck in 1992 — the final coin in the original proof series and the lowest-mintage year in the collection.
• The “S” mint mark of the San Francisco Mint, seen on the back to the left of the eagle’s tail.
